How To Enable Payments

Start accepting orders seamlessly by enabling payments on storekit. This guide will walk you through the setup step by step.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Enable Card Payments

  1. To activate payments, first go to your store settings. Then scroll down and click on “Payments”. Alternatively, you can reach out to our 24/7 support team by clicking on the chat widget on the bottom right corner and we can help with your payment application.

  2. Click on “Activate Payments” to start your payment application.

Step 2: Fill up Business Information and Bank Details

  1. Choose your business type: Individual/Sole trader, Business (LTD, LLP, PLC), Non-profit.

  2. Prepare the following personal details and business information to proceed with your payment application:

    1. For a Business (Limited Company) application you'll need the following information:

      • Legal Business Name

      • Personal details - Name, email, phone number. (The person associated with your storekit payments account should be one of your business' executives)

      • Business owners' details (name, address, DOB, phone)

      • Business Account Bank Proof dated within the last 12 months. Full guidelines for this is available here.

    2. For a Sole Trader application you'll need:

      • Trading Name

      • Personal details - Name, email, phone number. (The person associated with your storekit payments account should be one of your business' executives)

      • Clear copy of valid identification document. Full guidelines for this is available here.

      • Bank Proof (under the applicant's name) dated within the last 12 months

  3. Enter your bank details.

  4. Please go over our terms of service and make sure your business does not fall under our restricted services lists. Tick both options and click on “Next: Complete Account Setup”.

  5. Lastly, a pop up window will open where you will be asked to upload your valid ID and your bank proof. Don't forget to read and sign the PCI.

Note: Our partner bank is required by AML laws to meet KYC (Know-Your-Customer) requirements and verifying your bank statement/welcome letter can take a few days.

Step 3: Connect Payments

  1. You'll be notified via email when the application is received and another one when payments are approved.

  2. Once everything is approved, click on "Connect an existing account" and select the account you'd like to link to your store.

Payouts

After approval, payments will be transferred to your account at the end of each day and it takes two working days for the payment to arrive to your account. This means:

  • Monday sales arrive on Wednesday

  • Tuesday sales arrive on Thursday

  • Wednesday sales arrive on Friday

  • Thursday sales arrive on Saturday

  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday sales arrive together on Tuesday

Payouts and Bank Holidays

It is important to note that on bank holidays, clearing for a specific currency may be closed and therefore Adyen cannot process payouts. Payouts will be delayed in these instances.

Connecting Payments for Another Store

You can connect your existing payments account to a new store under your storekit account by clicking on “Connect an existing account”, then select the payment account. Once done, click on “Connect”.

If you have another store under your storekit account that belongs to a different company/legal entity, you can create different accounts. Simply click on “Create a new account”.


Troubleshooting: Common Issues & Fixes

My payment application has been approved but I can’t connect it to my store.

If your payment application has been approved but your payment account is greyed out, please contact our support team by clicking on the chat widget at the bottom right of your screen and we will connect payments on our end for you.
