Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Create Your Storekit Account
Go to the storekit sign up page and create your account. Or log in to the storekit dashboard if you’ve already created an account.
If you’re still creating your account, choose the Takeaway option after filling in your personal and business details.
Step 2: Fill In Your Store Profile
Enter your store name, website, about (description), Instagram handle and your logo.
Once done, enter the details for the rest of the initial setup (Store information, Opening hours, and Settings (Order notifications, fees, service charge).
Step 3: Select Your Fulfillment Method
You have the option to make your takeaway store pickup/delivery-only. To do this, go to Stores > Settings > Operations. You can also view the full guide here.
Tick which fulfillment method you want to use and untick the other.
Click on “Save” once done.
Step 4: Set Up Your Pre-order Slots
To properly set up pre-orders, go to Stores > Store Settings > Opening Hours. You can also follow the full guide here.
Choose your opening hours for each day, and click “Save”.
Go back to your store settings and click on “Pre-Orders”.
Tick “Enable to allow customers to order in advance” to enable pre-orders. We also recommend enabling the second option to allow customers to order outside of venue opening hours.
Then, scroll down to Pickup times. Here, you can set which days and times customers can order pickups for.
To set up delivery times, simply click on the “Delivery” tab beside “Pickup”. If you have separate times for pickup and delivery, you can easily set your preferred hours here.
Click “Save” to apply the changes.
Step 5: Create Your Menu
For standalone/unintegrated stores, you have the option to create your menu by entering items and categories manually or via spreadsheet or PDF/website import. You can follow the full guide here.
For integrated stores, you can easily sync/publish menus on the storekit dashboard or on your POS dashboard.
Deliverect - All items must be synced from your POS to Deliverect. You will then be able to build your menu on Deliverect. Once your menu has been created on Deliverect, go to Menus > Publish menus > Select menu to publish > select your store.
Note: storekit only supports one menu to be published at a time to each store.
Lightspeed Direct - The menu needs to be created on Lightspeed. Once done, the menu must be synced on storekit. Go to Menus > Click on the menu > Sync menu.
Step 6: Enable Card Payments
To activate payments, go to Stores > Settings > Payments > Activate Payments. You may also follow the guide here. Alternatively, you can reach out to our 24/7 support team by clicking on the chat widget on the bottom right corner and we can help with your payment application.
For a Business (Limited Company) application you'll need the following information:
Legal Business Name
Personal details - Name, email, phone number. (The person associated with your storekit payments account should be one of your business' executives)
Business owners' details (name, address, DOB, phone)

Step 7: (Optional) Setting Up Delivery Zones
You can follow the full guide here. In your store settings, go to “Delivery Zones”.
Click on the “Add new zone” button to create a new zone.
You have the option to choose between four delivery zone types: Driving distance, Polygon, Circle, and Postcode.
Driving distance - Makes use of real time traffic and road network data from Google. The default unit of distance used is miles and cannot be changed at the moment.
Polygon - Allows you to draw custom shapes to define your delivery areas.
Circle - With this, you can create a circular delivery zone with a specific radius.
Postcode - Perfect for stores with specific delivery areas that cannot be defined using the previously mentioned zone types, you can opt to select specific postcodes instead. This feature is available for storekit+ users.
You can also set up multiple delivery zones using different zone types with specific fees for each. However, do take note that these will override the default delivery fee (set up under Stores > Settings > Operations). You can also view the full guide here.
Step 8: Place a Test Order
Once your payment application has been approved, we suggest placing a test order to ensure everything has been set up correctly.
Note: For integrated stores, the test order should print from your existing POS printer.
You may follow this guide to place a FREE test order using a discount code on your store.
a. For standalone/unintegrated stores, we recommend getting a storekit configured printer to print your tickets. Need help ordering one? Our hardware partner Commandear offers storekit software configured printers here.
b. Alternatively, you can view Live Orders by going to Orders > Live Orders. There will be a notification bell every time an order is placed.
