To access general settings, simply go to Store settings > General.
Details
Under “Details”, you can add your store name, description, and set your preferred language and timezone.
Store name - Name displayed on your dashboard and on your store (customer-facing). You also have the option to set an “Internal Name” for your store on the dashboard. This is especially helpful for when you have multiple stores under one account.
About - This is the description visible to customers when opening your store.
Language and Timezone - You can set your store’s preferred language and timezone, however this change will only apply on the customer-facing end.
storekit ID - This is the unique ID assigned to your store. If you’re looking to integrate your store to an existing POS like Lightspeed of Deliverect, your storekit ID will come in handy.
Contacts
Add your contact details so your customer can contact you. If you have a website and an Instagram account, we also recommend adding those here.
Store Address
Add your store address here. This will show on your store page and will be used to calculate delivery distances for Delivery & Pickup Stores.
You also have the option to hide/show your store address on the customer-facing end. If you choose to hide your store address, it will not show up under the store details anymore. However, your address will still be visible on the order status page.
Note: Storekit uses Google’s road network data, so for a more accurate tracking of your delivery zones (if any), make sure to add your store address details in the correct fields provided.
Marketing
Under “Marketing”, you can let customers sign up for marketing communications at checkout.
Toggle on “Show a marketing signup option at checkout” to enable this feature.
Toggle on “Preselect the signup option” to preselect marketing sign up on checkout.
You can also customise the message customers see for the marketing signup.
If you’d like to hide your store from Google and other search engines, you also have the option to toggle this feature on.
Legal Information
If you’d like to add your VAT number for legal purposes, you can add it here. This is not displayed on the customer-facing end, and only visible on the dashboard to users in your account.
Close Store
You can close/open your store here. If you’re accepting orders for your store, make sure this toggle is enabled. Untoggle to close your store and stop accepting orders.
