Adding Tags and Allergens To Menu Items

Keep customers safe and informed by adding tags and allergens to your storekit menu items. This guide will show you how to do it in just a few steps.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Go Your Menu and Item

  1. Navigate to “Menus” on the sidebar.

  2. Find the item you want to edit and click on “Edit”

Step 2: Add Tags and Allergens

  1. Click on the “Allergens” tab right beside "Details" at the top to add allergens to this product.

  2. Toggle on all applicable tags and allergens for each product. Once done, click on “Save changes”.

Note: please see the Food Standards Agency's guidance for food businesses as some allergens are required by law to be disclosed.

On the customer-facing end, you will see these tags and allergens appear in two different ways:

  • Tags appear on the main menu page, as shown here.

  • While allergens are listed in the allergens section, visible after clicking on “Allergens” below the menu item’s name
