Limiting Discount Redemptions on Storekit | storekit Support Help Centre

Limiting discount redemptions allows you to control your promotions and makes rewards more attractive to encourage ordering. This is especially useful for when you want to run a welcome discount for new customers or if you want to promote a new product and reward the first 50 customers who purchased it. This guide will show you how to set them up in just a few steps.

Step 1: Log Into Your Storekit Dashboard

Go to the storekit dashboard and log in.
Navigate to “Discounts” in the sidebar.

Step 2: Edit Your Discount

Click on the discount you want to edit.
Go to “Limit the number of redemptions” and “Limit the number of redemptions per customer”.

Step 3: Limit the number of redemptions

By default, discounts can be redeemed multiple times with no limit across all customers. To add a redemption limit, choose “Limit number of times this discount can be used” and enter your desired value.
1. For example, if you want the discount to be redeemed only 10 times, input 10.

Step 4: Limit the number of redemptions per customer

By default, discounts can be redeemed multiple times with no limit by each customer. To add a redemption limit per customer, choose “Limit number of times this discount can be used by each customer” and enter your desired value.
1. For example, if you want the discount to be redeemed only once per customer, input 1.
Scroll down and hit “Save Discount”

Note: Customers are identified by email address.

Troubleshooting: Common Issues & Fixes

A customer was able to use a discount twice, but I have the redemption set to 1 per customer only.

Customers are identified by email address, so using a different email address will allow them to redeem the discount again.

An auto-applied discount was redeemed beyond the set redemption limits.
